Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat on Thursday accorded a reception to the gallantry award holder freedom fighters (FFs) of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) at a ceremony at BAF Falcon Hall in the city’s Tejgaon area on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day-2018.
The Civil Pilots of ‘Kilo Flight’ who contributed during the Liberation War in 1971 and their successors were also awarded in the ceremony, said an ISPR press release here.
A total 28 freedom fighters and their successors were awarded at the reception programme. The chief of air staff exchanged greetings with the freedom fighters and their successors, the release added.
In his speech, the chief of air staff remembered the contribution of freedom fighters in the Liberation War of 1971 with rich tributes and gratitude.
He said that the nation would never forget their sacrifices.
Principal staff officers and senior BAF officers were also present on the occasion.
