Dr. Dilip Kumar Saha has recently been appointed as the Chairman of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC), says a press release.
Prior to the appointment, he served as the Member (Physical Science) of BAEC. Before that he was the Director of Atomic Energy Centre, Dhaka, a research wing of BAEC.
Dr. Saha joined in BAEC as a Scientific Officer in 1983 just after completion his M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics & Electronics from Dhaka University. He received training from Argonne National Laboratory and Florida State University, USA. He received his Ph.D. degree from Tsukuba University, Japan under Monbukagakusho scholarship.
He did his post doctoral fellowship on Nanotechnology for the period of 3 years under NEDO fellowship in Japan. He set up modern XRD laboratory in Atomic Energy Centre, Dhaka in 2003. He has a total of 144 research articles published in different journals in home and abroad and 232 research articles have been presented in different national and international conferences.
He has a patent on Nanotechnology in Japan. He was the project director of an ADP project for three years. He is from the village of Bawkhanda, P.S. Dhamrai under Dhaka District.
