A month-long Tuhin Hossain Memorial Badminton Tournament has been inaugurated on the occasion of Mujib’s centenary with the slogan ‘Sports, energy, sports, ball, let’s stop drugs’.
On Tuesday evening, Tuhin Hossain Smriti Sangha organized the inaugural game at the badminton ground in Ista village. Additional Superintendent of Police Firoz Kabir spoke as the chief guest. President Zakir Hossain presided over the function and spoke as special guests.
President of Ishwardi Upazila Press Club and Ishwardi TV Journalists Association TA Panna, Member-Secretary of Ishwardi Upazila Press Club and Journalist Torture Prevention Cell Adv. Hedayet-ul Haq, Municipal Councilor Yusuf Alib Momin Hossain, prominent businessmen dealer Hossain, Jahangir Hossain, Abdus Salam and Afsar Ali.
In the opening match, Maya Enterprise Ishwardi defeated Mitali Sangha Paksey 2-0. Later in the game, Man of the Match Nayan was awarded the crest. Mubarak Hossain Mainuddin Nazim Mandal, Mohsin Ali Fakir and Jahangir Alam spoke.
