The 14th Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) unveiled the winners of this

Hamaguchi Ryusuke’s Drive My Car won the Best Feature and director Abdullah Mohammad Saad bagged the second prize or the Jury Grand Prize for his second feature Rehana Maryam Noor. Previously, the movie made it to the Un Certain Regard section of the 74th Cannes Film Festival as the first Bangladeshi
feature and the only South Asian film to
have ever been selected in this section.
Saad said during his acceptance speech, “We are so happy and honoured to have this award. Thanks to the honourable jury. We are absolutely thrilled and excited. This film was a result of incredible team effort.
I am sure I would not have won this award without the sacrifice of my crew and cast,” Badhon competed for the ‘Best Actress’ accolade alongside Alena YIV, Valentina Romanova Chyskyyray,
Leah Purcell and Essie Davis.
