Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday observed that Awami League’s reputation is on the verge of destruction for the misdeeds of a few Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) men.
“Some Chhatra League leaders are involved in misdeeds which is destroying Awami League’s image,” he said while addressing the unveiling ceremony of a book, ‘Bangabandhu’s incomplete autobiography’, at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) of Dhaka University.
Issuing a note of warning, Obaidul Quader said exemplary punishment will be meted out to those who
are involved in committing misdeeds using the name of BCL.
He also asked the BCL men to follow the ideology of Bangabandhu to turn Bangladesh into a digital country.
Former BCL president Mamud Hasan Ripon, its running president Bodiuzzaman Shohag and secretary Siddique Nazmul Alam were, among others, present at the programme with DU unit BCL president Mahedi Hasan Mollah in the chair.
