A new organization named Bangladesh CSOs Coalition for Health and Immunization (BACCHI) has been formed with74 civil society organizations to render health service during the corona pandemic in cooperation with the government, says a press release on Thursday.
Throughout the world, the COVID-19 has weakened the people economically. In order to thwart the thrust, the people of Bangladesh have been fighting against the aforesaid pandemic tirelessly and at the same time the Bangladesh government’s Health and Family Planning Ministry has been painted different programmes to make the civil organizations and the people conscious.
The aim and objective of the BACCHI is to cooperate with the government in every part of the country to strengthen the health and the development sector by equal distribution, vaccination and combined efforts.
A virtual meeting was held yesterday attended by the members of the 74 organisations. Abu Yusuf Chowdhury, President of BACCHI and Chairman of Payakot Bangladesh presided at the meeting. An elaborate discussions took place to settle the future programme of the BACCHI. Organisation’s General Secretary and BRAC Director (Nutrition, Health and Population) delivered valuable speech in the meeting.
