National Film Award winner popular actor Fazlur Rahman Babu-starrer Extra Artist was much talked telefilm among the viewers in last Eid. Views of the telefilm are being increased day-by-day on Dhruba TV due to Fazlur Rahman Babu’s outstanding performance and story of the telefilm is based on true life and activities.
The telefilm was released on June 1. From that time to June 15 more than 5 lakh 78 thousands viewers enjoyed the telefilm.
In the telefilm, Babu played the role of an extra artist named Monwar. Story of the telefilm revolves with him. Tanvir Ahmed wrote story of the telefilm and also gave direction while Ishtiaque Ahmed Rumel wrote its script.
Earlier Fazlur Rahman Babu last time came into limelight to act in Adnan Al Rajib-directed play titled Bikel Belar Pakhi. This time he is getting more response for Extra Artist. He said, “I believe viewers still prefer to watch good story based works which I have realised to work in telefilm Extra Artist. Everyday I am getting positive response for the telefilm. Though its director was newcomer but we tried our level best while acting. As a result, it has become a nice work.”
Babu also said that he is now engaged with acting in big screen. His acted three films – Gias Uddin Selim’s Paap Punnyo, Chayanika Chowdhury’s Biswa Sundori and Rezwan Shahriar Sumit’s Nona Joler Kabbyo are waiting to release now. He is going to finish shooting of Mir Sabbir’s Raat Jaga Phul, Nishith Surjo’s Payrar Chithi, Mirza Rakib’s Arjon 71 and Rajibul Islam’s Ural. “I will also work in Jaya Ahsan produced new film Furut,” he added.
