Besides acting, National Film Award winner actor Fazlur Rahman Babu regularly rendered songs in the beginning of his career with theatre group Aronnyok. For this reason, besides acting, he has another identity as a singer. Specially after giving his voice in play-back song in Gias Uddin Selim directed movie ‘Monpura’ his acceptance as a singer increased among the viewers. He then started to receive invitation to render songs in stage shows at home and abroad. As a part of its continuation, Babu is going to perform in different stage shows in five cities of Italy.
Promising singer Protik Hasan will also go with Babu in Italy. They will perform on the stage. Babu is very much excited in this regard. He said, “Earlier with Bangla Theatre I went to Italy to attend Boishakhi Fair. This time I am going to perform music. So I have different excitement. Protik Hasan will also go with me by whom I personally like. I hope our Italy visit will become successful. I believe expatriates who are living in Italy will be impressed by our performances.”
Protik Hasan said, “Babu Kaka is a talented actor and also a singer. He is also my favourite guardian. It is really a pleasure that we are going to Italy together. I hope this visit will give us a delightful tour.”
Earlier in 2012, Protik went to Italy. Babu and Protik will leave Dhaka tonight. They will perform in Venice, Milano, Rome and other cities of Italy. They will return to Bangladesh on March 27.
