Kamruzzaman Bablu, Senior Reporter of The New Nation and Asaduzzaman Azam, Senior Reporter of The Daily Amar Sangbad, have been elected President and General Secretary respectively of “Safe Food & Consumer Products Movement (SFCPM), Bangladesh in a meeting held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city on Wednesday. The purposes of the organization are to create mass awareness against adulteration of food and ameliorate ethics and morality among people.
SFCPM will hold meeting, seminar, symposium, human chain against food adulteration among students through formulation of committee in country’s educational institutions.
The other office-bearers are Senior Vice President Shohidul Islam, Vice-Presidents Abdus Sattar and Ismail Hossain Serajee, Joint Secretary Sorwar Nizami, Organising Secretary Faruk Alam, Treasure Mosarrof Hossain Shikder, Office Secretary Md Abdul Aziz, Publicity and Publication Secretary Mahmudur Rahman Khan Bappy, Law Secretary Advocate Tarik Ullah (MT Ullah), Mass Media Secretary Zahir Uddin Tuhin, Social Welfare Secretary Imam Hasan and Programme Coordinator Md. Shamsul Arafin. The six executive members are Moin Uddin Ahmed, Nozir Ahmed, Debashis Borua, Towhid Hasan, Mohammad Shakhawat Ullah and Sujon Majhar also elected.
