Babar gets death, Tarique jailed for life in 2004 grenade attack

bdnews24.com: Former state minister for home Lutfozzaman Babar is among 19 people sentenced to death for their roles in 2004 grenade attacks that killed 24 people and injured another 500.

Tarique Rahman, son of the then prime minister Khaleda Zia, has been jailed for life along with 18 others.

The case involves the brazen attack that targeted Sheikh Hasina, who was the opposition leader at the time and now the prime minister of Bangladesh. Hasina survived with a partial hearing loss.
