Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said curriculum of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) will be updated by incorporating modern and ICT education to build efficient teachers for enhancing quality of education.
“The process of updating B.Ed curriculum is underway …. It will be updated in line with National Education Policy-2010 to create skilled teachers for ensuring quality education in the country,” he said this on Thursday while speaking at a workshop on “Finalization of updated B.Ed curriculum” in the auditorium of Govt Teachers Training College here.
Vice Chancellor of National University Prof Harun Ur Rashid, Vice Chancellor of Open University Prof Dr MA Mannan, Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Prof Fahima Khatun and senior officials of the ministry, among others, addressed the workshop with Education Secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan in the chair.
Nahid said, “Teachers are main forces to improve standard of education. So, we have attached priority to increase professional efficiency of teachers through providing trainings and other facilities aiming to improve quality education for our young generation.”
He urged all to supplement the efforts made by the present government to build an educated nation aimed at building economically advanced middle-income country.
