Azizar leading good life with FFs’ allowance

Azizar Rahman, valiant freedom fighter of Manipur Village of Gabtoli Upazila of Bogra is very happy receiving the Freedom Fighters’ stipend, thanks to the Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina for it.
Aziz has three bighas of land. Of the total land, one bigha is used for homestead while the other two are used for agriculture. He does not have any bullocks but he has two cows. He normally cultivates his land with a power-tiller. But a few days back he was photographed by a daily pulling the plough manually. Responding to it, he said that he was preparing the bed of 10 decimals of land for planting seedlings. A photographer while passing by photographed the scene.
Azizar has three daughters and a son. The eldest daughter is married. The lone son, Sabbir Hossain, was preparing for his Dakhil exams at the Gabtoli Alim Madrashah.
Aziz freed his mortgaged land and has now borrowed money for cultivation. Now he cultivates his own land.
He spends Taka 2,000 from his Freedom Fighters’ honorium to pay back the installments on his loan. The rest goes to pay for family expenses. He gets about 34 maunds of rice from his land. And the harvest is even bigger in the boro season.
His cows have stopped giving milk, recently. As long as they were giving milk he used to earn quite a handsome amount of money.
The Freedom Fighter explained that he was not particularly well-off. That is why he had to borrow from the banks sometime. But he is well-supported by the Freedom Fighters’ allowance.
