Azad Sporting Club emerged as the champions of the Marcel Television First Open Women’s Beach Kabaddi Competition when they beat Jurain Janata Club by 53-51 points in the final at the Laboni Point in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach on Saturday.
The champions were awarded Tk twenty thousand as prize-money while the runners-up were given Tk ten thousand.
Besides, the participating teams got Tk ten thousand each.
Masuma Akter of Azad Sporting Club was adjudged the best player of the meet.
After the competition Police Super of Cox’s Bazar District Shyamol Kumar Nath distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Additional Police Super of Tourist Police of Cox’s Bazar Zone Emdadul Kabir was with him as the special guest.
First Senior Additional Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
Manager of Marketing of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Parvez Chowdhury, AGM of Walton Group Mehrab Hossain Asif and Secretary of the Tournament Committee AKM Faruque were present at the time.
