Ayub steers Doleshwar a six-wicket win in super league

A match-winning 84-run knock came from the bat of Marshal Ayub steered Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club to register an emphatic six-wicket victory over Prime Bank Cricket Club in the second round super league match of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League held on Saturday at BKSAP ground no 4 in Savar.
Ayub hit 10 boundaries and one over boundary during his 89-ball stay on the crease and during the process of batting he shared 142-run third wicket stand with Shahrir Nafees (78) to take his team closer to the victory. Nafees hit six boundaries and one over boundary from 129-ball.
Later Indian recruit Rajat Bhatia (23 n.o) and Farhad Raeza (11 n.o) took Doleshwar to the target in for the loss of four wickets with eight balls remaining.
Raihan Uddin was the most successful bowler as he picked up two Doleshwar’s wickets conceding 28 runs.
Earlier, Prime Bank Cricket Club scored a respectable total of 241 for 8 from allotted 50 overs, after they were forced to bat first by Doleshwar. Mehedi Maruf started the Prime Bank innings in brisk fashion as he scored a run-a-ball 44 runs. Abhimanyu Easwaran held the innings together with his knock of 71 while wickets fell around him.
Prime Bank middle order didn’t put up enough fight but batsman Asif Ahmed contributed with a 71-ball 62 to allow his side to post a respectable total.
Rajat Bhatia claimed three wickets for 50 runs while Arafat Sunny took two wickets giving away 40 runs for Prime Doleshwar.
Marshal Ayub of Doleshawar was named the player of the match for his brilliant batting performance.
