Avik Sarker of Bangladesh finished 76th in the World Junior Chess Championship that concluded in Bhubaneswar city of Odisha state, India on Sunday.
The National Junior Chess Champion of Bangladesh, Avik earned 4 points from 13 round games.
In last round, Avik, a player of ChessQ Club, conceded defeat to Ritviz Parab of India. Grandmaster Xiong Jeffery of USA clinched the title collecting 10.5 points from 13 round.
Including 8 grandmasters and 16 International Masters, a total of 80 players from 36 countries took part in the event.
