Probably the biggest release of the year, Avengers: Endgame has hit the screens in India. The superhero flick, helmed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), that came into existence with the release of Iron Man. The craze for Marvel films is incredible around the globe, and India definitely isn’t an exception.
Avengers: Endgame sold over 25 lakh tickets via advance bookings in India, which pretty much guaranteed a massive opening for the film. Now, if a report in a leading news portal is to be believed, the morning shows of the film have recorded an occupancy rate close to 100%. Taking this into consideration along with the round the clock shows and the obvious craze over the film, we can guarantee that the film will take one of the biggest openings ever in the country. The report goes on to claim that Avengers will be the first Hollywood film to cross the Rs. 50 crore opening mark in India. Thugs of Hindostan is the only Bollywood film to hit a half century on first day with opening day collections amounting to Rs. 52.5 crore. Well, it will be interesting to see if Avengers: Endgame can cross the opening day figures of the Aamir Khan starrer in India.
Avengers: Endgame, produced by Kevin Feige under the film production banner of Marvel Studios, stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Bradley Cooper and Josh Brolin in the lead roles.
