A four-day international conference organised by the Asian University for Women (AUW) Model United Nations Club ended with cultural performances at Chittagong Club ON Sunday evening.
Two hundred students from 20 countries participated in the event starting at 6:00pm and ending at 7:30pm.
During the first one-hour, AUW students presented poetry recitations, songs, and traditional and modern dances of different countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
Anjuma Tanha, a student of AUW, who acted as under secretary general of the conference, while addressing the delegates, thanked Prof John Schroaeder, a faculty dean of the university; and Prof Herman T Salton, adviser to AUW Model United Nations Club for their co-operation.
Farishta Afzaly, vice president of the club and under secretary general of public relations of the conference, also addressed among others.
