Vice Chancellor of CUET Prof Dr. Mohammed Rafiqul Alam inagurated the automation operation of the software ‘koha’ and two day long workshop on ‘Online Cataloging and MRC-21’ at the Central library auditorium on the University Campus recently.
Prof Dr. Mohammed Rafiqul Alam attended as chief guest and said that a standard library is the heart of a University. So, there is no alternative to automation of this.
International standard software ‘Koha’ was installed at the library aiming at keeping alwas vibrant with teachers and students he added.
Vice Chancellor also said that we are trying to bring the library under full-fledged automationsoon.
CUET Central librarian Md. Abdul Khalek Sarker presided the programme while Registrar (Acting) Prof Dr Faruk Uz Zaman Chowdhury and Director Institute of Information and communication technology Prof dr. Asaduzzaman were present during the programme university sources said.
