Land Service Week begins: Automation in land management to provide hassle-free services stressed

The ‘Land Service Week- 2017’ was observed in Gouripur Upazila of Mymensingh district in a befitting manner on Saturday.
Upazila administration arranged rally, discussion and other programmes in observance of the week. A rally was brought out at 10:00 am from the Upazila Parishad that ended at the same place. This rally was attended by Margina Akter, UNO of this upazila.
After the rally, a discussion was held in the Public Hall.
Freedom fighter Alhaj Nazim Uddin Ahmed MP addressed the discussion as chief guest. Sayed Rafiqul Islam, Mayor of Gouripur Municipality, Mahmuda Sultana, AC (Land) of Gouripur upazila , Abdur Rahim, Deputy Comander of Gouripur Muktijudda Sangsad and Bag Faruk Ahmed, President of Gouripur Press Club spoke on the occasion as special guests.
Margina Akter, UNO , Gouripur upazila presided over the function. Land office staff, officer, employees , farmers, teachers and prominent persons took part in the rally and discussion.

A discussion meeting was held at Local Collectorate Conference hall on Saturday noon.
Acting Deputy Commissioner Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil attended as Chief Guest while Senior Land Officer Md. Sefatul Islam in the chair.
It was addressed among others by Deputy Civil Surjeon Dr. Mujibur Rahman, G.P Advocate Bijoy Shankor Roy, R.D.C Hasina Akhter, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Sadar A.C Land Sinkder Mujumder, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, CAB Joint Secretary Journalist Abdul Kadir and Khango Rafiqul Islam.

BSS from Rangpur reports: The common people would enjoy completely hassle-free and world standard land related services and security after full implementation of automation and digitisation process in the land management process.
The information was disclosed at a post-rally discussion organised by the district administration at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner to launch the ‘Land Service Week (April 1 to 7)- 2017’ here on Saturday afternoon.
Earlier, a huge colourful rally, participated by officials and employees of the divisional, district and land administrations, Upazila Land Officers and union level employees of the land administration, was brought out in the city streets.
Divisional Commissioner (Additional Secretary) Kazi Hasan Ahmed attended the post-rally discussion as the chief guest with Acting Deputy Commissioner Sultana Pervin in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-General) Priyosindhu Talukder, ADC (Revenue) KM Maruf Hassan, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi officer Ziaur Rahman, addressed, among others.
The speakers said the present government has been launching full automation process using digitised information and communication technology in providing land related services to eliminate corruption in providing and receiving land related services.
Maruf Hassan said the one stop service providing programme at the upazila land offices would be expanded throughout the country to provide hassle-free services to the common people side by side with resolving the land dispute cases.
Priyosindhu Talukder called upon the officials and employees concerned for conducting their responsibilities utilising innovative capabilities with expertise, utmost sincerity and impartiality in reaching land related services to the people.
BSS from Gaibandha adds: Land services week-2017 began in the district as elsewhere in the country on Saturday with a call to emphasize on the highest use of land to make land ownership safe and sustainable.
Marking the week in a befitting manner, the district administration has chalked out the elaborate programmes.
On Saturday morning, a colorful rally was brought out from the premises of district Collectorate Building and ended at the same venue after parading the main roads of the town.
