A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was killed as a private car crashed into his vehicle in the city’s Sayedabad area on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified Sajal Fakir, 50, son of Barek Fakir of Char Kosai in Dohar upazila of Dhaka district. He used to live at Bangshal in the capital.
Sub-inspector Satya Das, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp, said the auto-rickshaw overturned on Sayedabad Flyover after it was hit by the private car from behind around 4:30pm, leaving the three-wheeler driver, Sajal, injured critically. Sajal was rushed to the DMCH where doctors declared him dead.
