The Autistic Sports Festival will be held today (Wednesday) at Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Stadium in Kishoreganj at 3 pm, said a press release.
Under the annual sports programme of Sports Directorate, the sports festival is organised by district sports office of Kishoreganj.
Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner M Azimuddin Biswas is expected to present in the festival as the chief guest. Bangladesh Special Olympic Committee’s national director Farukul Islam will present there as the special guest. In the sports festival, prizes will be given to the talented players of athletics, football and cricket disciplines. The finally selected players will get the chance to take part in the selection round of Bangladesh Special Olympic team.
Earlier, the preliminary selection of this sports festival programme was began at three autistic schools in Kishoreganj on June 18 last and finally seven players from each school got the opportunity to take part in the festival.
