An Australian naval ship named ANS Hamas Childers arrived Chittagong naval base on Monday on a 5-day long goodwill mission in Bangladesh. This is first ever goodwill mission of the Australian naval ship in Bangladesh. The naval ship consists of 3 officers and 24 crews on board. The commanding officer of BNS Isha Khan, Chittagong Commander ASM Afzalul Hoque received the foreign war ship at Chittagong naval base. Defence advisor of Australian High commission in Bangladesh and the higher naval officials of Bangaldesh Navy were present at Chittagong base while the visiting foreign defence ship is arrived. During the stay of the Australian war ship here, the officials and the crews will visit Kaptail naval base, school of maritime warfair and other naval installations in Chittagong. After end of the goodwill mission, the visiting war ship will leave chittgong on January 31, sources said.
