Australia National Football team will play in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Bangladesh National Football team at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on November 17.
Australia Football team will arrive in the city on November 14 to take part in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers against Bangladesh Football team.
Earlier, Cricket Australia postponed their Bangladesh tour showing security concern. Then Australia Football team also urged to FIFA to play against Bangladesh in the World Cup Qualifiers at an alternate venue not Bangladesh.
Australian Security delegation visited Bangladesh recently and met with the security agencies of Bangladesh. The delegation also talked to Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan, MP and also discussed with the officials of Bangladesh Football Federation.
After inspecting the venue of Bangladesh, the Australian delegation expressed their satisfaction with the security system and security condition of Bangladesh. Then the Australian delegation has given green signal that Australia will play against Bangladesh in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at the city venue as per schedule.
A BFF official talked to the New Nation on Tuesday, ” If everything goes as usual, the match will be taken place at the city venue as per schedule.”
Earlier, Bangladesh lost to Australia by five goals to nil in their away match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at Perth in Australia on September 3.
