Australia National Cricket team arrived in the city on Friday night to play two Test matches against their counterpart Bangladesh National Cricket team.
Some 230 cricketers had been unemployed since the end of June when their contracts expired, putting the Bangladesh Test tour under serious threat.
The first Test between Bangladesh and Australia will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium from August 27 to August 31.
The second Test between Bangladesh and Australia will be taken place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong from September 4 to September 8.
Besides, Australia will play a two-dayer practice match against BCB XI at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on August 22 and August 23.
