Australia begin title defence outplaying Afghanistan

Defending champions Australia began their title defence of the ICC World Cup outplaying Afghanistan by seven wickets on Saturday at the County Ground, Bristol. The Afghan lads batted first and posted 207, that the mighty Australians needed just 34.5 overs to chase down with seven wickets in hand.
Earlier Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa dominated with the ball taking three wickets each, while Aaron Finch (66) and David Warner (89*) hit the fifties in the chase to wrap things up for the 5-time world champions.
Earlier, Afghanistan won the toss and capitulated for 207 in just 38.2 overs. Neither of their openers was able to post anything on the board. Both of them were removed by Mitchell Starc and Cummins just in five runs.
