ICC Women's T20: Australia beat Pakistan by 94 runs

An unbeaten 90 runs by Elyse Villani helped Australian Women’s team win against Pakistan Women’s team by huge 94 runs in a Group-A match of the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 at Sylhet Stadium on Saturday.
Replying to Australia’s a mammoth total of 185 runs, Pakistan scored 91 for 9 in 20 overs. In the opening stand, Bismah Maroof pairing with Javeria Khan made 57 runs in 11. 2 overs before Maroof was cleaned bowled by Ellyse Perry.
Bismah Maroof scored 28 runs off 35 balls with three boundaries while Javeria Khan made 27 runs also off 35 balls, hitting fours.
Nida Dar (6), Nahida Khan (6), Sania Khan (5), Sidra Ameen (3), Batool Fatima (3), skipper Sana Mir (1), Asmavia Iqbal (1) and Sadia Yousuf (not out 1) were the other scorer for Pakistan.
Ellyse Perry and Sarah Coyte claimed three wickets each for 12 and 14 runs respectively while Jess Jonassen bagged two wickets for 14 runs and Holly Ferling took one wicket conceding 18 runs.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Australia posted 185 runs for 2 in stipulated 20 overs riding on the 2nd wicket stand by Villani and skipper Meg Lanning, scored 104 runs in 9.4 overs.
Villani furnished her 54-ball 90-run with six fours and five sixes and was adjudged player of the match.
Skipper Meg Lanning made 50 runs off 33 balls featuring five fours and two sixes.
Besides, opener Alyssa Healy made 20 runs off 26 balls with two boundaries while Ellyse Perry added not out 12 runs in 7 balls hitting a six.
Asmavia Iqbal and Sania Khan took one wicket each for 23 and 30 runs respectively.
