A court of Dhaka on Thursday framed charges against Mahfuzur Rashid Ferdous, an Associate Professor of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), in a case filed on charge of sexually harassing female students.

Tribunal-2 of Dhaka framed the charges and fixed November 15 to start recording the depositions of the witnesses.
Professor Ferdous of the university’s Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department, was arrested from a Ramna flat on May 4 following complaints made by several students. Five female students testified against Ferdous, who was also an assistant proctor of the university at that time.
