Federation Cup Football: Auspicious start for Saif Sporting Club

Saif Sporting Club made an auspicious start in the Federation Cup Football beating Uttar Baridhara Club by three goals to nil in their first group match at the country’s prime venue Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wedenesday.
The first half was locked 0-0.
Saif Sporting Club totally dominated the newcomers Uttar Baridhara Club and made it a one-sided affair in the second half.
Baridhara conceded an own goal when Siarjuddin, the recruit from Uzbekistan passed the ball to their Egyptian defender Abdel Rahim but Abdel’s shot went into Baridhara’s goalbar in the 49th minute of the play (1-0).
Saif Sporting Club’s Nigerian forward Keneth made it 2-0 in the 64th minute. His forceful shot found net (2-0) after he got the ball from a pass of his teammate Faisal Ahmed Fahim.
After five minutes Faisal Ahmed got the ball from his teammate Nigerian recruit of Saif Sporting John in the midfield. Then Faisal Ahmed alone advanced with the ball and entered the danger zone of Uttar Bsaridhara Club and made no mistake to deceive the Uttar Baridhara’s goalie Azad Hossain (3-0).
Uttar Baridhara Club showed a poor performance as their weak midfielder and striker failed to break strong defense of Saif Sporting Club.
