Asian Games Football: Auspicious start for Bangladesh U-23 team

Bangladesh Under-23 National Football team made an auspicious start in the Football Competition of the 17th Asian Games when they edged past Afghanistan Under-23 National Football team by a solitary goal in their first Group B match at the Munhak Stadium in Incheon, South Korea on Monday.
After a barren first half Captain of Bangladesh team Mamunul Islam scored the all-important goal in the 83rd minute of the play.
In the year of 2010 in SA Games Football, Bangladesh blanked Afghanistan by 4-0 goals.
Bangladesh will meet favourites Uzbekistan in their second Group B match on September 18 and Bangladesh will play against Hong Kong in their last Group B match on September 22.
Top two teams from this group will get tickets of the quarterfinals.
Bangladesh Under-23 National Football team: Liton (goalkeeper), Mamunul Islam (Captain), Munna, Tapu, Raihan, Yasin, Sifat, Jamal, Hemanta, Wahed, Sohel Rana.
