Popular singer, lead vocalist and bass guitarist of band Aurthohin Saidus Salehin Khaled Sumon, popularly known as Bassbaba Sumon, and his son Ahnaf Salehin Khaled have tested positive for Coronavirus.
The singer/songwriter confirmed the news on Facebook on Monday. He wrote: “Ahnaf and I have Covid-19. Everyone please pray for us.”
Sumon was last seen performing at the Joy Bangla Concert on March 7 where he made a surprise appearance leaning on a crutch. He remarked at the concert: “This might be my last concert, my last stage performance.”
Sumon has been fighting cancer for almost a decade. In March, he had to cancel a scheduled surgery in Germany due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
