Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) and Dhaka District Police have arrested five people, including businessman Nasir U Mahmud – the main accused in the case and Omi, in a joint operation on charges of attempting to rape, murder Dhallywood’s popular actress Pori Moni.
They were arrested from the residence of Real Estate businessman Nasir U Mahmud in the capital’s Uttara on Monday afternoon.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police Mashiur Rahman led the operation. On the other hand, Dhaka District Police was led by Savar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Abdullah Kafi.
However, Dhaka District Superintendent of Police (SP) Maruf Hossain Sardar said the process of taking legal action in this regard is underway.
It is to be mentioned that actress Pori Moni filed a case against six people with real estate businessman Nasir U Mahmud as the main accused o Monday afternoon.
