Terming the attack on Dhaka University vice-chancellor’s residence as barbaric, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Tuesday said the attackers will not be spared.
Obaidul also the road transport and bridges minister came up with the remarks while taking to reporters after visiting the VC’s residence in the morning.
“Investigation is underway. The attackers won’t be spared in any way,” the minister said.
Amid demonstrations in Shahbagh and adjacent areas early Monday seeking reform of the quota system, some unknown attackers entered the VC’s residence breaking its main gate and ransacked several rooms and furniture.
The attackers also set fire on two vehicles parked inside the VC’s residence.
