Attack on RU BCL leaders protested

The leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of ruling Awami League, on Wednesday demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment to those who were involved in cutting tendons and severing a leg of two BCL leaders at Rajshahi University (RU).
The BCL leaders said this at a rally held at the base of Aparajeyo Bangla on the Dhaka University (DU) campus.
The protested the attack on BCL, Rajshahi University (RU) unit, leaders Masud Hasan and Togor M Salehi.
The leaders blamed the leaders and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, associate body of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, for the incident.
BCL Acting President Joydeb Nandi presided over the rally while its Acting General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Mostaque moderated it.
BCL, DU unit, President Mehedi Hasan Mollah and General Secretary Omar Sharif, among others, were present.
Joydeb Nandi said, “They have severed legs of our activists and cut tendons. We will take their heads. We will avenge blood for blood.”
