The Atom Gum-DRU Media Cup Handball Tournament began on Wednesday at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder inaugurated the handball competition as the chief guest, while Brand Manager of PRAN Confectionary Limited Md Sazzad Hossain, Assistant Brand Manager of PRAN Confectionary Limited Mahbubul Alam were with him as the special guest.
President of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Sakhawat Hossain Badsha presided over the inaugural ceremony, while General Secretary of DRU Mursalin Nomani conducted the opening ceremony.
The other officials of DRU were present at the time.
Radio Today, ATN News, Janakantha, Amader Samay, GTV, Manabzamin, Jago News24.com, Bhorer Kagoj won their respective opening matches.
