The Ekushey Padak-winning actor ATM Shamsuzzaman has been hospitalised at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Monday again as he complained of problems in digestion and breathing, said his wife Runa Zaman. He is now undergoing treatment under Professor Atiur Rahman.
According to the physician, the actor has been suffering from intestinal obstruction and may require surgery. The physicians will decide today whether or not his should under surgery, said Atiur Rahman.
The ailing actor sought prayers for his recovery. “I’ve fallen sick again. Please, pray for me,” said ATM Shamsuzzaman.
The actor, whose career spans for around five decades, thinks he has not yet delivered his best shot as an actor. “I want to come back to give my best. I hope I’ll recover completely and return to acting.”
