Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman Friday urged all banks and financial institutions to come forward to provide winter clothes and blankets to the cold-stricken poor people.
The governor said, “We have to ensure that no street child with a bank account suffers from lack of winter clothes,” a Bangladesh Bank press release said today.
He called upon the wealthy people of the society and the corporate sector to stand by the cold-stricken poor as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
