Country’s one of the legendary heroines Shabnam has performed in few numbers of movies in Dhaka’s film industry.
But in those movies where she performed became commercially successful. As per example, Edesh Tomar Aamar, Kokhono Asheni, Harano Din, Talash, Nacher Putul, Sondhi, Jogajog, Juli, Boshira, Sohodhormini, Dil and Aammajaan.
Among those movies most of them are in collection of her except the movie Sondhi. When Symphony Publication released the movie in DVD version on Sunday in the market Shabnam has collected a copy of the movie.
Basically with the initiative taken by proprietor of Symphony Publicati, KN Wahedul Alam viewers can now watch the movie Sondhi on DVD.
After collecting a copy of movie Sondhi Shabnam shared her feelings by this way, “I was really excited to watch the movie for many years. After watching it I am feeling very glad now. Not only its story but also there were many melodious playback songs in the movie Sondhi.”
It may be mentioned that under the direction of Gazi Mazharul Anwar the 15-reel movie Sondhi got censor certificate on March 10 in 1987. Script and lyrics of the playback tracks of the movie were also written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar. Later its music direction was given by late Satya Saha.
Besides Shabnam, Razzak, late Jafar Iqbal, Suchorita, Nipa Monalisa (now expatriate), Sujon, late Raz, late Nasir Khan, Babor, Habibur Rahman Modhu, Anis and late Ashish Kumar Loho performed in different roles in the movie Sondhi.
It may be also mentioned that Shabnam got the highest number of ‘Nigar Award’ (11 times) to perform in Pakistani movies.
