Lt Gen (retd) Masud Uddin Chowdhury, Member of Parliament for Feni-3 (Sonagazi-Daganbhuna) constituency, has requested for transfer of the proposed asylum project from Char Shahapur Mouza of Sonagazi upazila of Feni.
He made the request in a letter to the Feni Deputy Commissioner and the concerned project Director in response to the demands of local farmers.
Earlier, locals staged human chains and protests for the transfer of the shelter project. Their claim is that those lands of the proposed project are three field system. So if the shelter project is transferred, the public interest will be protected.
