Probir Kumar Ghose, Assistant Headmaster of Madhudia Isamati High School under Bagerhat Sadar Upazila was dismissed from his service on temporary basis on the charge of his unethical behaviour with a girl student of the school.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the School Managing Committee held on Tuesday in the school.
It is reported that the guardians of the students and the local people of all sections agitated and demonstrated against the dismissed Assistant Headmaster for days together in order to protest his unethical behaviour with a girl student.
As a result, the normal functions of the school was suspended, The demonstration was called off when Masuda Aktar, Upazila Education Officer of Bagerhat Sadar visited the school on Monday and assured the people to take necessary action against the Assistant Headmaster. In this connection the decision for the dismissal of the Assistant Headmaster was taken in a meeting of the School Managing Committee held in the school on Tuesday in the morning with M. A. Matin, president of the managing committee and Chairman of Jatrapur Union Parishad. The managing committee formed a 3-men committee headed by the Headmaster of the school to enquire into the matter.
