March 25 is the historic black night. Popular singer Asif Akbar’s birthday is March 25. According to him, he did not celebrate his birthday for last three years on this day. This year he will not celebrate the day. While talking in this regard Asif said, “For last three years I did not arrange any festival to celebrate my birthday on this day. I do not celebrate the day in any special way. This night is a black night in the history. To pay tribute to many freedom fighters, I do not celebrate my birthday. In fact, at night on March 25 in 1971, many women lost their husbands, many children lost their parents and many women lost their honors. It may not create a huge impact among the people of our country now. But after 10 to 15 years new generation will remember me as I did not celebrate my birthday to pay tribute to them on this day. Joler Gaan’s Rahul Ananda requested me to stop celebrate my birthday on this day. I have respect and love for him. I request
everybody to pray for me as I can remain well. Please everybody prays for my family.” Asif and Dithi Anwar rendered a duet song titled Bolona bolona has already been released on YouTube channel. For the first time Asif rendered a song with Dithi. Gazi Mazharul Anwar wrote lyrics of the song. Few days ago, two instrumental artistes of the country were killed in road accident. They were hailed from Cumilla. Asif feels bad in this regard. According to him, Partha is Cumilla’s elder brother of Asif and Hanif was brought
up in front of Asif. Childhood of Asif’s two sons passed with them.
Recently Asif lent his voice for the song Shudhu mone rakhish, which music was
composed by Ovi Akash. Maria Alam is co-singer of Asif in this song, Asif mentioned.
