Faruque Hossain, Md Ishtiaq, Ridoy Hasan, Arnab Saha and Naimul Islam of Bangladesh reached the quarterfinals of the boys’ singles of the 9th BKSP Asian Under-14 Series Tennis Tournament on Tuesday.
At the BKSP, Faruque Hossain defeated his compatriot Noor Alam by 6-0, 6-1 sets, Md Ishtiaq beat Badhon Sharif of Bangladesh by 6-4, 6-1 sets, Arnab Saha overcame Abir of Bangladesh by 6-2, 6-1 sets, Ridoy Hossain overpowered Afridi of Bangladesh by 6-2, 6-1 sets, Naimul Islam earned win when his counterpart Shadhin Hossain ruled out due to injury.
Besides, Ali Dawani of Bahrain, Navraj Brar of India and M Yalao of Philippines entered into the quarterfinals beating their respective opponents.
In the girls’ singles, Eti Akhter, Fabiha of Bangladesh, Adithia Karunaraton of Sri Lanka, Natsuki Minowa of Japan reached the quarterfinals by beating their respective opponents on the same day.
