Asian Shippers’ Alliance (ASA) Annual Meeting was held in Kuala Lumpur, (Malaysia) on 25-26 Nov. The meeting was organized by Malaysian National Shippers’ Council. A four-member delegation of Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) headed by its Chairman, Md. Rezaul Karim attended the meeting. Other members are : Senior Vice Chairman Md. Ariful Ahsan, Directors Arzu Rahman Bhuiyan and Afsar Uddin Ahmed. The meeting discussed about Trade Situation and Changes in Locations of Manufacturing Facilities; Freight Market and Freight Rate Trends: Impact and Increase of Concentration in the market by 3 shipping mega alliance and the Hong Kong seaport alliance. The delegation also visited the Port Klang (West and North Ports) of Malaysia.
