The Asian Hockey Champions Trophy will be held at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium from December 14 to December 22. Earlier, the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy was postponed due to coronavirus outbreak. Asian Hockey Federation and Bangladesh Hockey Federation finalized the date after discussing about this matter. Bangladesh Hockey Federation will arrange the international hockey tournament under auspices of Hero Honda. Asian Hockey Federation has approved the fixture. A total of six teams will take part in the sixth edition of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy. Hosts Bangladesh, Japan India, Pakistan, South Korea and Malaysia will compete in the nine-day long hockey competition.
President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan said, ” We shall watch a superb hockey tournament in December. It is really a good news. It will be the most biggest hockey tournament in Asia in this current year.”
