GM Ziaur Rahman of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club limited and Abdullah Al Rakib of Bangladesh Navy earned 4 points each after completing of the 7th round games in the open section of the Asian Continental Chess Championship is now being held at Al-Ain in United Arab Emirate.
GM Enamul Hossain Razib of Bangladesh Navy gained 3½ points.
In women section, WIM Shamima Akter Liza collected 4 points.
The 7th round games of the both sections were held last Saturday.
In the 7th round games of open section, Rakib beat FM Abdul Wahab Ahmed of Iraq, Zia drew with Utegaliyev Azamat of Kazakhstan and Razib drew with IM Isaev Jamshed of Tajikistan.
In women section, Liza beat WIM Kurbonboeva Sarvinoz of Uzbekistan.
The 8th round games of both sections started yesterday (Sunday) from evening in Bangladesh time.
