The Sudirman Cup World of Badminton is underway in Gold Coast of Australia. All the four semifinalists are from this continent after second seeded Denmark made surprise loss to emerging Thailand in the fourth quarterfinals. The other three are 10 times champions China, challenger Japan and South Korea.
The aforesaid three nations outclassed India 3-0, Malaysia 3-1 and Chinese Taipei 3-1 respectively. China will meet Japan and South Korea will face Thailand in he semifinals on Saturday.

Badminton was a very popular game in our country. In the winter, the youths used to practise badminton and took part in the competition both at regional and national level. So. we suggest the badminton federation to be active to quicken this discipline devising plans.
