India drubbed Pakistan by five wickets in the forth match of the Asia Cup 2016 at Shere Bangla National Stadium here in Mirpur on Saturday. Chasing a paltry 83, India`s top order was shaken by Mohammad Amir`s pace and swing as he removed the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane in the very first over. He then removed Suresh Raina in his next before Virat Kohli (49) and Yuvraj Singh (14*) guided them out of trouble as India chased down the target in 15.3 overs. Earlier, Pakistan were bowled out for a mere 83 – their third lowest total in T20Is. Pakistan had been experiencing continuous fall of wickets and could post only 83 runs loosing all wickets in a sensible bowling and fielding effort by arch-rival India in the game. Nehra initiated the pace attack with sensible line and length. A Nehra delivery in the first over of the match bagged Pakistani opener Hafeez. Bumrah picked Sharjeel Khan in a slower short ball. Sharjeel Khan went hard on the cut and caught up by Rahane at around fourth slip. Manzoor was sent back to the pavilion scoring 10 runs off 18 balls in a sharp fielding effort by Kohli. A wasted wicket, when there was no run there. Shoaib Malik, the fourth one goes in a Pandya delivary. After cramping Shoaib Malik for room with wicket-to-wicket stuff, he dangles the carrot outside off and the batsman falls for it. He caught by Dhoni. Earlier, winning the toss India captain Dhoni invited Pakistan to bat first on a greenish track here. Brief Scores: Pakistan 83 (Sarfraz Khan 25, Hardijk Pandya 3/8, Ravindra Jadeja 2/11) vs India.
