Asia Cup Hockey BD-Pak place-deciding match today

Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the fifth-place-deciding match of the Hero Asia Cup Hockey at Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia today. The match will start at 12.30pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
If Bangladesh can win today’s match, Bangladesh will finish fifth. Bangladesh earned three points from their three Group-B matches.
On the other hand, Pakistan collected four points from their three Group-A matches. India and Pakistan bagged four points each from their respective three Group-A matches. By virtue of better goal difference, India reached the semi-final. On the other hand, Pakistan defeated Oman by 5-2 goals in their place deciding match.
Bangladesh made a sorrow start in their Group-B Asia Cup campaign as they lost to South Korea by 1-6 goals at the same venue on May 23.
Bangladesh beat Oman by 2-1 goals in their second Group-B match at the same venue on May 24.
Bangladesh suffered a 1-8 goals defeat to Malaysia in their third Group-B match at the same venue on May 26.
The red-and-green outfit defeated Indonesia by 4-2 goals in the place-deciding match at the same venue on May 29.
Head Coach of Bangladesh Hockey team Iman Gobinathan Krishnamurthy said to a local website, ” It is a good chance to play against Pakistan. We shall try to earn respect from Pakistan team.”
Defender of Bangladesh Hockey team Rezaul Karim Babu said, ” Pakistan are good side. We shall try to present a better brand of hockey against them.”
