Asia Cup, the most prestigious cricket meet of Asia begins today at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah . Holders Pakistan will face Sri Lanka, the powerhouse of world cricket in the opening match.The 50-over-a-side match starts at 2.00 pm.Hosts Bangladesh will meet mighty India tomorrow (Wednesday) in their first match at the same venue. A total of five countries will take part in the gala extravaganza. They are: defending runners-up and hosts Bangladesh, Pakistan, mighty India, Sri Lanka and newcomers Afghanistan. The first phase of the tournament will be held in single league basis. Top two teams will get tickets of the final.The first five matches will be held in Fatullah while the six matches including final will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.Two top teams of the league basis matches will play in the final on March 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur .
