Bangladesh earned one silver medal and two bronze medals in Asia Cup Archery tournament stage-2 at Sulaymaniyah in Iraq on Tuesday.
In Men’s Compound Team Event, Bangladesh won silver medal. Bangladesh lost to India by 224-218 points in the final. Bangladesh Men’s team consists of Mohammad Ashiquzzaman, Mithu Rahman and Rakib Newaz Ahmed.
In the Women’s Compound Team Event, Bangladesh claimed bronze medals defeating hosts Iraq by 190-177 points. Bangladesh Women’s Team consists of Banya Akhter, Shamoli Roy and Suma Biswas.
In the Women’s Singles Event, Shamoli Roy beat her compatriot Suma Biswas by 140-134 points to clinch bronze medal.
Today is the last day of the tournament. The finals of the Recurve Individual Event, Recurve Team Event and Compound Individual Event will be held today.
