An ASI of police stabbed to death and another ASI injured while chasing an accused in Chandpur village under Sadar upazila of Brahmanbaria on Friday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Amir Hossen, 35 and the injured one is ASI Monir Shankar Das.
The incident took place near Chandpur Bridge of Masihata Union in the district.
Mohammad Sajahan, Inspector (Investigation) of Sadar Police Station confirmed the matter to the media and said that the effort is on to arrest the convict.
